The Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario is pleased again to announce, now offered for the tenth year, its Fall 2011 ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION To be held at the Donald Gordon Conference Centre, Queen’s CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND NEGOTIATION SKILLS Friday, April 27 to Sunday, April 29, 2012 (3 days, 20 hours) Through a combined Course and Workshop format consisting principally of interactive simulation exercises, short lectures and video presentations, participants will:- * “CONFLICT RESOLUTION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS” -- Be provided with an introduction to: * “NEGOTIATION SKILLS” -- Obtain an understanding from literature and research of Negotiation The Companion Course in the Program, on “Mediation Skills”,will be held on Thursday, October 25 to Saturday, October 27, 2012 (3 days, 20 hours) 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day . Registrations can also be accepted for the Conflict Resolution and Communication Skills & Negotiation Skills portions The Centre’s 40-hour Certificate on Alternative Dispute and Conflict Resolution will be awarded upon completion of two 20-hour modules or the equivalent. One-day registrations can be accepted for some parts of Courses, as above. Registration combining individual days, other Registration Fee :- $ 675.00 + HST There is a 20% Fee reduction for Groups of four or more. A limited number of places are reserved for Students at a reduced rate of $ 425.00 + HST. CERTIFICATE PROGRAM ON Who is This Program For?The Program is for persons interested in acquiring the knowledge, theoretical background and practical skills developed in the context of Negotiation and Mediation, for use in the expanding fields of dispute and conflict resolution. It addresses the roles of managers and officers in both public and private sectors, lawyers, human resources professionals, grievance officers, educators and others engaged in activities in which outcomes can be enhanced by the effective use of these skills.
